Simply Choices Protein Chips GIVEAWAY

It’s the last Monday in July which means it’s the last Canadian friendly giveaway on Life After Bagels.  This one is extra special, mostly because I’m vacation.  HOORAY!

I’ve got eleven days at the cottage and my mission is relaxation.  That’s a hard task since I think of myself as a workaholic, eternally biting off more than I can chew.  Perhaps I’m proving that point by finding the only bit of wifi in the entire town.  What? A girl has stuff to do like blogging about this fabulous giveaway (amongst a bit of other work).  I like to balance my vacation.  The balances means some reading novels, some drinks at the campfire, some healthy bbq, some hot dogs on the beach, and some running on the beach.  You know, a bit of everything.

This whole balance chit chat is pretty much the perfect segue way into today’s giveaway:

The chips are one of my favourite snacks.  When Simply Choices launched them I originally used them for an after workout snack, but I also love to pack them for lunches for a 3pm snack.  And dare I say – they are perfect for the cottage too!  Check out those stats: 15 grams of protein and 140 calories.  Pretty awesome, yes?!?!?!

  1. For our last trip back East to visit family I planned it around a half-marathon. That way I knew I would still run and I got to run a race with friends I don’t see often enough! Have a great vacation!

    During vacation I like to go swimming, hiking, canoeing during the day and partying at night :)

    I’m not sure I balance it very well! I try to eat mainly healthy food, but if I want something that’s a treat? I have it. I do my best to watch my portions of the more calorie dense food though. And I stay active as much as I can. Walking is my favourite form of transportation-exercise AND you get to sight-see! Also love runs in new new places and visiting different gyms if they are open to it :-)

    My main goal on vacation is not to stress about fitness and fit it in when I can and in fun ways. That involves a lot of walking and biking which is also a great way to explore new cities.

  5. I always try to make sure to get a lot of sightseeing in on vacation – means that I get a lot of walking in instead of just laying next to the pool all day!

  7. Protein chippies!! Look at that! I am loving the products that are being produced these days! Makes me happy to see healthier things popping up on the grocery store shelves. Pissed that TWINKIES are back. They even had a TWINKIE FOOD TRUNK out on Hollywood & Highland (big popular landmark in Hollywood) and they were handing out free Twinkies! I yelled: WAY TO HAND OUT OBESITY PEOPLE! lol

  8. Oh I love Simply Choices! Fingers crossed. When on vacation, I get my workout in before breakfast. That way I won’t have any excuses throughout the day not to get a sweat in. With food, I make thoughtful choices. I choose one meal to have a sweet treat, otherwise I continue to eat just as I would normally!

  9. Omg!!! I’ve wanted to try these for my whole life.

    I keep balance on vacation by packing a cooker full of clean food and choosing a few meals to eat what I please. I also round up my friends for morning runs and do my own body weight workouts outside. With the workouts out of the way in the morning, I have all day to lounge!

    On vacation I plan workouts that are fun. On a recent visit to NYC my Husband and I rented bicycles in Central Park! It was the best way to sight-see!

    The great thing about yoga is that you can practice it anywhere without any equipment and it doesn’t require a ton of space. I try to do a quick couple of flows and stretches before breakfast when I’m on vacation to keep a routine.

    I try to get in lots of walks, especially when visiting my bfs parents because they have 2 dogs who love to run around. It’s also fun to get a group activity going like biking by the water or a few rounds of laser tag with the cousins for some birthday fun!

  13. I just got back from a 10 day vacation! I enjoyed, I relaxed, I had fun, I exercised and most importantly, I lived every single moment to the fullest :)

    I like to relax my eats and drinks a bit while on vacation but do balance it out with activity, depending upon where we are… skiing or hiking in the mountains or running and walking on the beach, playing tennis and bike riding.

    To be honest, I’m not sure as I haven’t been on vacation for years but I’m going to learn soon! I booked hotels with gym/pools and plan on doing a tonne of walking. Fingers crossed it works!
