Howdy amigas! I made it through last week and it feels GOOOOOOOOD. In typical Morgan tradition I bit off more than I could chew, but luckily I choked it down. Last Monday was my personal trainer final exam. Wooohoooo – I’m officially certified now. Saturday was Warrior Dash.
Here’s the thing about Warrior Dash, everyone kept saying how easy the race is. Well my friends, easy is relative. It wasn’t easy for me, and I spent the last 10 weeks struggling with my confidence and thinking that I was less fit than everyone else who was calling it easy. But now that I’ve accomplished it, WHO CARES – I feel awesome, and super proud of myself.
I trained for 10 weeks. I saw my doctor for physical therapy. I ran hills, I went to the gym, I iced, I foam rolled, I wrapped and taped…..
Don’t let someone else’s opinion mess with your goals. The course was intense, so much uphill, so many walls to climb over and drop off. And yes, so much mud.

Along this training plan, I trimmed up and dropped some weight and got a whole bunch stronger. The end of July marks a year of weight loss efforts. I can’t wait to show you my progress. But for now, I shall revel in my Warrior Dash medal (which is also a beer bottle opener, hehehe).
