Try Ye Some Yoga

I don’t even know what “ye” actually means.  Anyone?  Bueller?

Did you see yesterday’s HUJASS post about week 2 of the Spring Shape Up?  Click on over to yesterday to print your workout calendar and get your meal plan and recipe ideas.

Today we’re scheduled for yoga.  Now you know I have a weird love/hate relationship with yoga.  However I’m falling more and more into the love part (what is this the bachelor … “I can really see myself falling for you yoga”).  Over the last few weeks I’ve been going to Les Mills Body Flow classes on Mondays.  It incorporates a bit of tai chi, a bit of pilates, and a bunch of yoga.  It fights me quite well.

I put yoga on the calendar for Monday because starting the week with a mind-body workout is soothing and energetic at the same time.  If you’ve never said TGIM before, yoga juuuuuust might be the answer to setting your week up for success.

Try it!!!! C’mon ;) …. here are some links to try out if you don’t have a studio available to you.

Now that I’ve convinced you to get yoga-fied today allow me to update you on my weekend.  I got to go to dinner with Krysten and Jess and meet Sarah (Jess’s twin) for the first time.  Pic montage >>>>>>>

ha! i must say – yoga is NOT my favorite thing in the world. I always feel like I am not burning enough calories for it to be worth the time… BUT I saw a girl on facebook the other day who has all these incredible poses she does with her feet in the air and she said she got all the strength from yoga. It definately peaked my intrigue again!

I am finally catching up on my blogs, and thinking of doing your spring shapeup now (that it’s sort of Spring?) and I couldn’t help but notice your question about “ye.”

As far as I know, “ye” is actually “the.” In old English “y” was shorthand for the “th” sound – so in manuscripts you’ll find “ye” for “the” and “yere” for “there” etc. So ye isn’t actually a word, but it does mean “the.”

Sorry, I just HAD to use my Masters degree for something. Being a know-it-all online is so far all it’s good for.

I like yoga, but never really do it. Also, where is that meal from – looks delish!
