Let’s Have Breakfast – Apple Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe

I’m kinda past the worst part of this week of midterms, there will be more in a few weeks.  Next week is reading week for me so I’m off (read to the end and I’ll let you in on a little secret about what I’ll be doing next week).

The most important meal of the day is of course breakfast.  Plus, I find that if I start my day “right” then I’m set up for a more productive day.  Especially because I’ve skipped the gym for the last couple days to study, I need some kind of good behaviour in the morning.  Well after some good behaviour after my delicious hot lemony detoxy water that is.

This week I’ve been starting my morning with a super delicious smoothie.

Apple Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 apple chopped into pieces
  • 1/3 cup of plain greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup of pumpkin
  • 1 cup of water
  • a crap tonne of pumpkin pie spice ;)

Blend and serve!  (Alternative, add a little less water and a few ice cubes.)

Before you run off and make this delicious smoothie let me share something with you:

I’m working on my PERSONAL TRAINER certification!!!!!!!

For the longest time I’ve been saying I was going to do this.  Let’s face it, there’s never going to be a perfect time, so reading week it is.  I have a whole bunch of pages to read over the next few days and next Tuesday I’ll start my classes.

Exciting hunh? ;)
