Hello me friends. I just got home from the doctor. Seems my sickness is not so serious (ie. does not need medication, thank the stars!!!!) Although not serious, it still has me pretty down and out. I’ve been ordered to get lots more rest and lots more fluids for the next ten days. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned what the problem is but it’s my chest and I’ve got a cough that’s just killing me.
Soooo ….. I cannot go the distance this week (cue tears).
But YOU (unless you’re also sick) should be getting yourself into gear for week 1 of GO THE DISTANCE.

What you need to do this week for the challenge:

Here’s how I’m going to participate for this week, I’m going to set other goals. First, because my doctor told me I have to do this to get better. And second because it’s the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for the winter semester today (and first day back to my part time job) so it’s a good time to get these things in order.
From today until Sunday I’m going to:
- Get nine hours of sleep every night
- Drink 16 cups of water / herbal tea
- Track my calories on MyFitness Pal
You know I hate counting calories but MyFitnessPal totally helped me when I was away from the gym at the beginning of last semester with my concussion. Sometimes when I’m away from being active I forget to pull back my food intake.
Alright that’s it. So you have your homework for today, I have mine. Let’s start this week off as healthy as possible.




Excellent goals for the week… my official training just kicked off and I’m off to the “races” – well, not yet, but off to the training.
Illness sucks! Boooo. Especially if there isn’t a “diagnosis” and you just feel like sh*t. Feel better soon!
