It’s hard to believe I’ve been on this crazy ol’ weight loss journey for two months now. Please let it be true that slow and steady wins the race. Because man has it been slow.
In August I got my workouts really on track. In September there were basically no workouts but my eating has gotten better. Perhaps being off of exercise has been a blessing in disguise. (A really good disguise, like dressed up in that Scream mask because it’s kind of sucked.) It really forced me to look at what I was eating. And yes the addition of My Fitness Pal has helped a lot.
Here are my two month progress pics:
Brad’s:
Alright October, bring on month 3!
Here’s what I need to focus on as I continue my quest to look like I do in my blog header:
- Marry my calorie conscience eating WITH workouts in the same month.
- Sleep. I’ve been great at getting to bed early in September, it was easy, no exams. Midterms start next week, I must do better than I usually do during exams.
What are your health goals for October?

i can def. see a difference in both of you guys!! eating is the hardest part (I think), so you’re way ahead of the game!
I agree – the eating has been super hard!
Super impressive progress Morgan! You’re inspiring me!!!
Ah shucks – I blush
I love BRAD is in for this two.
you will BOTH SUCCEED —-and are changing so swiftly—-because of the support.
Yes I’m very blessed to have a partner in crime for this
Oh yeah, you can definitely see the difference. I’m glad that you’re documenting this the way that you are because it shows the importance of being patient.
For me, October is all about jumping back into my half marathon training along with sticking to the no fast food, pop or candy challenge my boyfriend and I are currently on. We’ve been at it for a week already and we’re already noticing a difference in how we feel!
My health goals this month are to use MyFitnessPal EVERY DAY!
This month I’m trying to get a head start to holiday season, meaning I want to lose a few pounds because I know I will pack on a few during December. I’ll try to log my calories via MyFitnessPal and my workouts on Dailymile. That will be extra challenging in October, though, because my schedule is fuller than ever.
Amazing Morgan! I can definitely see a difference! So proud of you!
There’s definitely a noticeable difference! Sleep is my biggest thing that I need to work on too.
Keep up the good work!
I can already see a difference in both of you! I hope you are both feeling fantastic and you should be proud!
I can see the difference! Woohoo! Celebrate that!
That’s awesome, you two have both totally lost some off your stomachs! Consider me impressed.
For October I want to continue with my morning workouts! They feel awesome and let’s keep it up.
Alright! Visible progress is clear in you both! Way to go – and I understand you on the eating side – at least for me, that’s the toughest part. I can work out and be active but if I don’t control my appetite I see the effects of the extra food quickly. Keep it up! We’re rooting for you guys.
I can totally see a difference!!!
I think progress pics are awesome – great way to really see the changes. Nice job!
You can definitely see the difference! Honestly, I think it’s more important that you figured out your eating habits first – I think that’s more important than formal exercise in the end.
I love how you and Brad are doing this together!
Keep it going! You two are doing great!
I need to make a point of drinking more water…which I am getting better at
Lookin’ gooooood!!! My goals for the month also involve getting enough sleep. And reducing sugar (yes, during Halloween month). I’ve been calming my nerves with chocolate-covered everything. Gotta cut back on those daily treats.
Great job! It is hard to keep motivated… I have been through the same process!
My goals for October: stretch! I am terrible at stretching after a workout. Make it to yoga once per week too!
I see lots of good definition in you both! Way to progress!
I really commend you both. Back when I was in school being healthy was the last thing on my mind. Nice progress!
