Sleep And Fluids

You can probably tell by the title of my post that I have been really ragin’ and celebrating my birthday this week, thus no posts.  Orrrrrrrr not.

Brad and I did go to Fresh for lunch on Monday.  I was craving a hot elixir for my scratchy throat.  And while I was there I chomped on this awesome veggie burger too :)

Then we went home for the rest of the day and spent it on the couch with movies and tea.

I’ve been trying to get as many fluids in, as much sleep in, and as much healthy food in.

Behold the green monster with a side of coloured pens and kleenex.

Oh and a super duper exciting announcement.  Brad and I took his overtime pay from the summer and bought ourselves pots and pans as an early Christmas gift.  It was really exciting.  We made stew :P

That’s sickie me in the background, ignore me, concentrate on the shiny!

As you can imagine I’m super behind on all things fitness.  With my concussion and then being sick it’s been two and half weeks since I’ve hit the gym.  That also means I haven’t weighed myself in a while.  Even with my birthday treats I still feel like I’ve lost some weight.

Okay okay I’ll say it, you were all right – My Fitness Pal DOES help ;)

Anyone else have “adult” items on their gift list (birthday / Christmas / anniversary, etc)?

  1. Ohlala nice pot/pan set!! I do that too! One year for Christmas I got all new stainless steal small appliances to match, hehe and this year for my birthday I got a coffee grinder (mostly to gind nuts) and mixing bowls. So fun!

  2. On my birthday/Christmas list (my birthday is in a month) I’ve got a breadmaker, new pots, and a slow cooker. Jesus, I am such an adult.

Everything I want is adult now that I’m living on my own: couch, fry pan (one thing I do not have!), food processor, shelving units, floor lamps… etc. etc. the list goes on and on. But I like it. :) It’s fun to be a grown up! (Most of the time)

  4. I felt like a grown up this year as my birthday wish – besides a cute boy – was a couch for my new apartment. What is the world coming to?

I want a keurig sooo bad!! I just don’t want to have to pay 14 bucks to by the k-cups haha
