Last week I was really getting back into lifting. I did two of Brad’s weight workouts. I even did his chest and back workout on Friday while he stayed home sick from work.
Unfortunately I’m going to have to go on a weight lifting hiatus.
Yesterday I was putting groceries away in the fridge and Brad decided to “help.” Notice the quotation marks. He was putting something away in the freezer and I stood up from organizing the fridge.
Geez, penalized for efficiency. When you’ve got a tiny Toronto kitchen there should be a rule about only having one person in the kitchen at one time. I hit my head on the freezer door and aside from (what I’ve diagnosed as) a mild concussion, my neck is just done for. I spent the rest of the day propped up in bed and on the couch with a lot of ice and a tylenol. Poor Brad, he felt so bad all day.
He let me pick any movie I wanted to rent. I picked American Reunion. Have you seen it? It made me feel oooooolllllllld, but it was funny. I also got out of doing chores for the rest of the day. Woooohooooo
I’m going to have to make sure to get my 10,000 steps in everyday this week. I’m not sure when I’ll be back to normal workouts.
How well do you modify workouts when you’re injured? If you have to workout less do you modify your food too?
