I am absolutely obsessed with goat cheese these days. Why didn’t goat cheese find it’s way into my house before now? Great question!
My name is Morgan and I’m a recovering cheese-aholic. I didn’t quit the cheese by choice. It doesn’t agree much with my belly. Softer cheeses are a little easier on ye old gut. If you think about it, I can thank my digestion problems for bringing me goat cheese. (I’m sorry what’s that … you don’t want to hear about my digestion problems this morning? Very well.)
So anyhoo, I was tweeting and instagramming about my goat cheese obsession yesterday and one of my favourite SNL skits came into my mind.

I liked my goat cheese on toast with an egg breakfast that I ate half of it before photographing.
As another consolation prize I’ll share what I can remember from the script:
“Hey Goat. I like your beard. I had a beard in the Perfect Storm. Did you see that movie? Did ya goat? Say hi to your mother for me.”

Favourite SNL skit? Holla at me goat cheese fans.
I love cheese. I don’t love goat cheese…I think I’m the only one! I wish I liked it, but whenever I eat it, I feel like I’m eating dirty gym shoes. (Not that I’ve ever eaten dirty gym shoes, mind you.) Goat cheese ice cream at Carnival in Chicago pretty much sent me over the edge. I’m not even fibbing about the ice cream. It was real. And real gross.
Favorite SNL skit? It will always be Will Ferrell and Cherie Oterie as cheerleaders. “Taco…burrito…what’s comin’ out of your Speedo?” Gets me every time.

I love goat cheese! My favorite is having it in a salad with baby arugula, beets and pecans. There is also a bakery place near my house that does an amazing grilled veggies and goat cheese panini.
Hmmmm I’m not crazy about arugula. Tastes so peppery and strong. LOVE pecans!

To eat it is warmed up on a toasted pita with roasted red pepper

even I started dabbling in goat’s cheese again recently. Its not the same kind of proteins and such that cause my belly aching. so just a little here and there. But I won’t lie, your instagram photo made me purchase some herbed chevre today. soooo good.
I adore goat cheese – one of the foods that has to be in my house at all times. And the toast/goat cheese/egg combo is one of my favourites!
