Sounds like a workout mantra doesn’t it? It’s not. Bring on the homework pain. Yesterday I wrote my second accounting exam, tomorrow and Wednesday I have final assignments due. I’m in a pretty painful stretch right now.
I never find final exams quite as stressful as either midterms or the last week or two of the semester when all the final assignments are due. See, when it’s final exam time I’m off of class. It’s just me and the library. When it’s midterms, or final assignment time, I still have to go to class PLUS the extra study / homework time.
I also happen to have a $*#%-load of freelance work to do. Busy busy gal!
On Thursday I took the night off. I was planning on having Lily over for dinner and then somehow we concocted a scheme to go to the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises.
I made grilled veggies (tomatoes, peppers, green onions) over couscous (gosh darn quinoa was sold out everywhere!) and goat cheese.
We both went back for seconds. I can’t even TELL you how amazingly delicious this was. MMMMmmmmm I’m drooling just thinking about it again. DO IT!
Lily brought over chocolate mouse made from tofu. So silky and delicious.
And we had mojitos made with mint from my garden. A totally perfect pre-midnight showing meal eh?
We waited in line for two hours to get some goods seats. I could barely stay awake but it was so worth it. The movie is awesome. Tom Hardy (heart throb alert!) is very scary as Bane.
(On a more sombre note, I am so saddened by the happenings in Colorado on opening night. Gun crime is something that affects me in a very personal way. In news that’s closer to home, I am very interested to see how this “Gun Summit” goes in Toronto today. I am remaining hopeful that our politicians are able to formulate a plan to help this problem.)

I hate the feeling of drowning in school work, but know it all too well. That dinner sounds delish!
I’m almost finished my Nutrition course! WoO hOO! That pudding, looks so smooth! Mmm!
Good luck with your studies
