I’ve been very scatter-y in this neck of the woods haven’t I? My quest for the answer to slowing down continues.
My lack of blogging does not mean I’m quitting blogging or anything. It just means that I still haven’t figured out exactly how to organize my schedule to fit everything I want into a day. For the time being I am waking up and making a daily commitment to prioritize what is most important at each time as I go through the day.
Yesterday that meant sitting on the couch with Brad and having coffee before going to my physical therapy appointment. He’s working over 15 hours each day right now and I don’t get to see him much, it was nice to have five minutes to catch up.
It meant slowly, very slowly walking to the bus after my appointment. I can walk it in about 10 minutes if I really rush. But instead I took my time and focused on the proper knee positioning while I took each step. It took twice as long, but the practice is necessary and I’ve been told repeatedly by my doctor to slow down.
It meant choosing to meet Krysten for lunch on campus.
It meant taking ten minutes to sit in the sun between class and heading to the library.
It meant going down to Brad’s office to take him for ice cream so he could have a break from work.
It meant going to bed early.
All good decisions if you ask me.
I’m starting to feel more relaxed, but midterms are just around the corner. That will be the real challenge.
Today my morning was spent working on a stats assignment and now I’m eating lunch before I head out for a very lengthy Ride for Heart training.
Carbs for the win – baked penne and cauliflower.

YAY for Wednesday lunch dates! So happy we could take a break together! xox
Hey – sometimes there are way more important things than blogging. That ice cream sure looks like one of them
