Long Weekend Refresh

I’m back in the city and back to real life today.  Jetting out of Toronto was exactly what Brad and I needed over the long weekend.  The weekend was insanely beautiful and it was great to soak up the sun.

Allow me to instagram-you some cottage weekend fun.

Even though we were at the cottage, we still had to get our Ride for Heart training in.  We didn’t have our regular bikes but there’s a bunch of old mountain bikes there.  Early Sunday morning we got in the saddle and did 90 minutes of riding.  The workout included the beach, and some dirt roads.  It was shorter than usual but still good for training.

Back to school today, but man it was good while it lasted :)

To my fellow city dwellers – do you yearn to get out of town when things get too busy?

We hit the cottage for a few days, too – it’s nice to get away!

I love getting out of town now and again. Though these days I’m more of a “visit the city whenever I can” sort of mood.

  4. Oh yea Kev and I yearn to LIVE in the the Caribbean one day. We love to travel but haven’t been able to this year due to some personal stuff going on but we are keeping our fingers crossed we can head to Jamaica at the end of the year.

In the meantime, we are making our deck into an outdoor oasis. I can’t wait until that is all put together. Need some calm in my life that is for sure.
