Remember how I didn’t go to the gym on Monday because of my exam and then bailed on Tuesday’s workout?
It now appears that exercise is flipping the bird at me. Last night I did Nike Training Club workout called “Stinger.”
There was only one appropriate response for my after workout status update:
I finished my workout at 10pm last night and then was up before the sun rose this morning. Brad was heading out to do some photography and I told him I’d meet him there and bring some breakfast and coffee to the park.
I figured I’d take advantage of being up early and bundle up for an outdoor workout.
For some foolish reason I decided to do sprint intervals for the first time ever. My legs were SO heavy. I guess I forgot the STINGER that happened just over eight hours earlier.
In my head I was running so fast.
What exercise gives you the heaviest legs?

it may be wimpy but it’s true: GOOD OLD FASHIONED WEIGHTED LUNGES!!
I hate when I do workouts too close together, it always makes my legs feel like lead. Doesn’t matter what I do either, if it’s been less that 12 hours I’m fonna suffer.
Oh yeah, anything with weights or sprinting just KILLS my legs. Ugh. So bad.
Good for you! Sprints outside are tough for me – my legs feel way heavier than when I do them on the treadmill.
I’ve never done them on the treadmill, and let’s be honest, I’m not sure I want to
Jump lunges. Death.
oh I have really bad knees so I would never put myself through that misery hahaha
On Tuesday, I ran five miles through my village. That means HILLS HILLS HILLS! Then I ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill on Wednesday. That was too much, I could hardly walk afterwards. Ouch! So a combination of hill running and running on back to back days obviously kills my legs.
HILLS!?!?!?! oh forget it
I love the last pic of you!
thanks Shannon – I assume you love it since I’m so speedy hahaha
