As you might imagine I was tired as hell yesterday. I always crash and burn the day after an exam. But I never wise up and I always plan on doing grand things … like studying for my next exam.
The truth of the matter is – a girl’s gotta rest.
I spent a good amount of the day catching up on between 2-3 BILLION emails that are in my inbox. A bunch of them were deleted and bunch of them were replied to and a bunch of them are still sitting in my inbox staring at me like a sad puppy.
Then I pulled myself off the couch and pried my laptop from my sluggish hands and hit the grocery store.
You shall not be impressed with my dinner.
Macaroni with Yves ground round and a “salad” (lettuce leaves, just leaves.)
After dinner Brad and I had plans to run out for an errand and then I was going to go to the gym. But I flipped the bird to the gym as well. We went to see “Friends with Kids.” Lily had given us free passes (you know we love free dates!) This movie was kind of depressing, super weird, and incredibly awkward. Not exactly the feel good comedy we were expecting. After the movie we went out for a pint of beer. Perhaps we were celebrating not having kids?
FYI – THIS is the bag of mini eggs that Brad’s mom brought over last weekend. HUGE (say it like Donald Trump please).
I have not eaten ANY and will not! (Side note: Brad came home from work yesterday and said “I don’t like that Easter video you made, you said mini eggs taste like chalk.” Coming to the defence of chocolate, makes me love him more. I explained to him that this would mean more for him and he dropped his cause.)
One more miscellaneous piece of information. One of my best online friends is having a birthday today. Yup, Leah and I have never met (as if either of our student budgets could afford the plane ticket), but when we do I imagine it to go something like this:
Happy Birthday Leah! Thanks for not blocking my email address with my DAILY insane stories / rants / questions / thoughts
When was the last time you flipped the bird to your responsibilities?

Sometimes I feel I flip the bird to my responsibilities daily… But there was one day this past weekend where I just made the decision to not do anything. It was wonderful. Love your drawing by the way.
Ummm . . . I love you. That cartoon is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Thanks!
Good to know about friends with kids! I wanted to see it – thinking it would be funny! But sounds like not so much…
Pretty much every day. I always make all these grand plans in my head while at work. ALL the things I will get done when I get home. Usually by the time I get home, make dinner, eat, clean up from dinner I am so tired I just sit down and watch tv
You need to draw every single post. I get a huge kick out of them
I mean, who would buy a bottle for $14 when you could get six and a half bottle’s worth in a box?!
GASP! Those are not Mini Eggs. Those are Eggies, made my Hershey. They don’t even almost compare to Cadbury’s Mini Eggs! lol
That’s true, and I apologize for misleading you
Brad doesn’t discriminate against chocolate of any kind, and I guess since I’m not eating it, it’s all the same to me!
