I Love My Bed

I can’t even tell you how much I love my bed.  Like sooooooooo much!  Honestly why are beds so comfortable?  I could stay there all day.  I love going to bed early, I love sleeping late.

This morning my bed was trying to foil my morning workout.  It was so soft and so warm and trying so hard.  Even though the sun is out now, our house was super chilly at 5am.

We use our cell phones for our alarms and I have no idea why but they are set to animal sounds.  My alarm is a quacking duck and Brad’s alarm is a barking dog.  The dog and the duck were trying their darndest to get us to our workout but the bed was resisting.

We eventually made it to the gym and I opted for cardio instead of a Nike Training Club workout.  My right wrist always bothers me around finals because of all of the writing of study notes and typing of papers.

I did 40 minutes of the “random” setting on the elliptical followed by 15 minutes of walking at an incline on the treadmill.

THAT was followed by an unexpected 20 minute walk home.  There was a streetcar accident just outside the station.  Luckily the temperature had warmed up a bit and I packed mittens.

I hate to disappoint you but today might be the last day of pictures :P

What’s your alarm sound set to?

I think you should draw all your posts. I love it. :) They may be basic, but descriptive, and they totally get the point across. Also, love that your alarm is a quacking duck. That’s awesome.

  2. My bed won that battle this morning. My alarm went off, I opened my eyes, and I said, “eff this” and went back to sleep.
I enjoy your picture very much. Especially because you and Brad only have 3 fingers on each hand. Was it too hard to draw 5?

  3. haha that last line took me a bit to interpret. I get it now though, really.

My husband changes his alarm ALL the time. I always have the same one. As long as my phone vibrates before the alarm goes off I’m fine with it. I keep it under my pillow so the vibration wakes me up and I don’t have to hear the sound haha.

  4. I kind of like your drawings! I also use my phone to wake me up, and my current alarm sound is one of my favorite songs, “Happyland” by Amanda Jenssen. I love that this song starts slow and mellow, so that I’m not too shocked.

  5. haha thats so funny about your alarm sounds. i wish i had that setting.. i might have to look into it. mine’s just the standard beep-beep-beep. the dreaded alarm beeping. it does the trick, though, wakes me up every time. Especially because i leave my phone on my desk so i have to get out of bed to turn it off.

PLEASE keep drawing pictures. you’re too creative to stop. seriously, i kind of really really like them.
