My hand is healing pretty well. But I still have to leave most of the work to my right hand. It’s just in the most awkward place ever. Every single move pulls on the stitches (baaaaaaarf!)
We’ve been doing 90 minutes on the stationary bike on the weekends but that was not an option for me. I can’t hold on to the handles at all.
While Brad was cycling I hit the treadmill. For the first 45 minutes I alternated running and walking. The next 45 was all incline. What are the upper muscles in my butt? Because those were on fire during the incline part of my workout.
I’ll be on the treadmill for the rest of the week along with some abdominal and leg exercises that I can do without holding any weights.
If I couldn’t ride bikes on the weekend at least I could watch bikes. The Ride for Heart very generously sent me a pair of tickets to check out the Toronto International Bike Show.
The Bike Show had a bunch of vendors selling bikes that are far more fancy than ours. But we liked looking at how slick and cool they were.
The best part was watching the BMX tricks competition. There were competitors from Japan, Czech Republic, USA, and Canada.
It was awesome to watch their tricks, the pictures don’t do it justice.
Not only do I want to get back on MY bike, I want to buy one of these bikes too ;).
