Vacation is officially over and I’m heading back to school this morning. And no I didn’t catch up totally on all my school work. But oh well, I needed the break. Brad and I did some fun stuff together.
Over the weekend we were very busy. Saturday was Podcamp. Lots of great information! And I spoke on Social Media for Artists. Then Saturday night was our Toronto Blogger Meetup at Commensal.
How’s that for a fine looking bunch of bloggers if I don’t say so myself. And this is probably only a quarter of the health and fitness bloggers I know in Toronto. We’re a big bunch. Don’t mess with us 😉
Yesterday I was happy to settle in to some regular Saturday stuff. First we headed to the gym for 30 km on the stationary bike for our Ride for Heart training. (By the way I held a little raffle for my Ride for Heart fundraising campaign at dinner on Saturday and my very generous friends donated enough change to total just over $49 – THANKS you guys, I appreciate it so much!!!)
The obligatory protein shake when we got home = milk, protein powder, banana, strawberries.
Then we moved on to dinner. I had this great idea to make my favourite lentil loaf but I was feeling too lazy. Instead I threw onions, celery, carrots, spices, lentils, and mushroom gravy into a pan. Still delicious, just not in loaf form. On the side was a baked potato and broccoli slaw.
I am MAJORLY obsessed with this broccoli slaw. I was watching one of Jess’s YouTube videos at the gym yesterday and saw her use it so I grabbed it from the grocery store on the way home from the gym. It was so good that I had more for dessert :D.
What’s your favourite type of loaf to make? I love my lentil loaf, and I made this delicious rice loaf a while ago. Any other veggie loaves I should know about?
