Let’s miscellaneous the crap out of the beginning of this post, shall we? Yeah I did just use miscellaneous as a verb. I’m not a english major people, don’t worry
.
- I applied for THREE summer jobs yesterday. Booyah!
- I got my grade for my statistics class. Remember, I thought I failed my exam. I didn’t exactly do the math, but my grade dropped at least 10 points so I know I didn’t do well. But thankfully I had killed it earlier in the year. My final grade was B+. HUGE. SIGH. OF. RELIEF.
- My laptop is ready for pickup today. Oh thank goodness. It’s been a tough road having to sit at my desk and work (as opposed to my couch).

On to more exciting things – like hydration.
I tweeted and posted to Facebook yesterday that I had a major hydration problem over the holidays. I always forget to drink water when I’m on-the-go.
When I break my routine it’s so hard to get my water intake. Some of you agreed:
I spent about six hours at my desk after my morning class yesterday, sipping tea the whole time, and I finally feel like I’m back in my hydration routine. Which was good because I got a full workout last night. (Forgot to mention my Friday night workout sucked and I cut it short). I spent the first half of the workout with Brad guiding me through some shoulder exercises and then moved on to chest, back, and a bit of ab work.
What about you – do you get enough water when you break from your routine? How do you get your hydration – water, sports drinks, herbal tea, coconut water?

How funny Morgan, I just wrote a post yesterday on how to stay properly hydrated. http://www.mirandagibson.com/2012/01/hydration/
AH yes, I’m the same way. When I’m in my routine, I drink a ton of water, nonstop, throughout the day. Because I drink so much water, it takes a lot to keep me from getting dehydrated. (I’ve always drank water; I never really liked soda or juice.)
When I am taken out of my routine either by a trip or a very busy on-the-go day, I definitely don’t get enough water and DO feel the effects. It’s especially troublesome, because the last think you want when you’re touring a city or visiting with family and friends is to get a dehydration headache! I do my best to drink as much as I normally would, but it’s hard to keep up. So, whenever I get the opportunity, I do chug water.
My typical hydration sources are water and tea, but don’t forget about fresh fruit! Melon, apples, etc can be a great source of hydration, as well, especially if water isn’t readily available.
ah fruit … yes good tip!!!!
i ALWAYS keep my water bottle with me. it’s my signature accessory – everyone knows my red klean kanteen!
signature accessory LOL … I like that!
I drink water all day long. I can’t make it through a class without a water bottle or I start to get anxiety. I’ve always been that way though. I remember taking a final exam in high school and the teacher MADE me go to the bathroom before he would let anyone take the test because I drank so much water he knew I’d have to go at some point.
I’ve developed the weird habit of always carrying a bottle of water with me, wherever I go. In my car, in my office, at the gym, everywhere! My favorite drinks are water, herbal tea, fruit juice, and lots of fresh fruit and veg. I love snacking on cucumber sticks, that also counts, right?
