Oh dear me hot cereal. You are just far too delicious. In fact this was my lunch yesterday. I took a bosc pear from my CSA delivery and cooked it with some steel cut oats. It was so good I felt like pulling an Oprah . . . this is DELICIOOOOOOOUUUUUUUS!
Last night we were finally able to get over to Trev and Erin’s new house. Brad just straight up told them “alright guys so I’m pretty jealous of all this.” The house was absolutely beautiful and surprising spacious for a Toronto house. Poor Bradley, he’s going to be waiting at least four years for the fixer upper he dreams of. (PS – he’s not handy so that will give me endless blog posts for you.)
In the meantime, Trevor and Erin are going to let him paint a wall or something.
Erin cooked up a delicious meal of cheesy shells, crusty bread, and salad.
She also cooked 22 cupcakes for just the four of us. This was so chocolatey that I had to give up 3/4′s of the way through. Have no fear, Brad polished off his, mine, and at least two more cupcakes.
Have you bought your first house yet?

I’m quite a ways out from owning a house, but I’m starting to look for my first solo apartment! CRAZY!
Brad sounds like he’s at our life stage.
We would LOVE to buy but we are looking to transfer. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be happening very quickly.
Still, until we find out where we are going to be it’s not wise to purchase. So in the meantime we daydream about either a modern condo near Stanley Park or a ridiculously spacious home in the Rockies!
Well I haven’t… bought my first house.. im a wee young for that! on the other hand.. i would love me some of that cheesy pasta dish!
yeah, we own a house but if we have another kid we’ll have to move! It’s a pretty small house which I love but when you don’t have room in the baby room to fit a bed…..well, it presents a problem!
WOW – everything looks GORGEOUS!
I’m getting hungry by reading this post…
We are living in the third home we’ve purchased.

Funny enough our first home was one we built and it was spacious with a huge kitchen and 3 bathrooms and it was just the two of us…
Now we’re in our smallest home yet with ONE bathroom and a shoebox kitchen and we’ve gone from two of us to four of us. We’re packed but content
Home ownership is overrated
There are a lot of things you never have to worry about when you’re renting.
I would devour that crusty bread…heavenly!
Everytime we drive past a townhouse, or apartment building, or small house for sale I always say “I want one”. I want a house SO badly! Even more, I want one of the townhouses across from my parents neighborhood. I am jealous of everyone my age that already owns something. Especially when I see it, and then go home to my 400 square foot, super loud, rental. Sigh. I need to marry rich.
Also, Im really jealous of the stove.
We bought our first home 2 years ago! It has been so.much.work! And Sam doesn’t know how to do anything handy! haha He knows it, so that’s not mean! Luckily we have my Dad right down the street–we have him on speed dial for use during any home projects.
Well as you know, i got my first house in the summer. We have so much renos left to do. Brad is welcome to practice his handy-man skills on our house.
seriously.

also, that bread looked like it was the crustiest and gooey centered bread ever. I’m jealous of it.
We haven’t purchased a home yet, and we are at least five years away.
If the Newf and I plan on staying in the city on a permanent basis we will be buying a boat and living there year round! You can buy a lot of boat for $100k, and my Newf’s belong on the water.
As a city girl I can’t see us in a condo, we aren’t suburb material and we simply can’t afford a house in Toronto!
