You may have wondered what happened to my Fit Chicks boot camp classes. Well life happened as it often does and the session ended while I had two classes left. So on Thursday night I took off to my first indoor session.
The gym makes for some interesting obstacle courses.
It also has an equipment closet that makes me feel like doing bad things.
As Susan mentioned yesterday, joining a class is a great way to meet new people. She’s right! I’ve made two new friends from boot camp class.
Laura, Head Fit Chick and Cofounder (how hot is this picture, so hot!)
And Steph, Fit Chick Extraordinaire (mmmmm apples!)
The reason why classes of any type are a great way to make friends is because you already know that your classmates have similar interests as you. Who knows you could find a BFF!
And a super duper fantastical part of making new friends at classes is new events. The Fit Chicks crew participated in the 2010 the OXFAM TRAILWALKER. As a team, they participated in this race to raise money for women’s rights and to help end poverty internationally. It was 100km in 48 hours through the Simcoe forest. They did it in 28:36min and came in 23 out of 126 teams. Crazy fitness goal! Check our their blog for the whole story.
They better invite me next time
Have you ever made new friends at a class?

So much fun! I usually bring friends with me to classes, if I’m not the one leading the class. Otherwise, I’ve made quite a few friends in the classes I teach.
SO pumped to finally have met you, Ms. Morgan! I agree about making a point of connecting with peeps. You never know where you’ll find a new friend.
Glad we found you!
