Hello all, if you’re actually reading this, bless you! It seems that Bluehost has been having problems due to a power outage, or perhaps that is just the twitter rumour. Anyways getting on my site or into my admin the last 48 hours has been a beeeeeeeeeep. So welcome and thank you for reading!
If you read my tweets on Wednesday you will remember that Brad had asked for a plethora of different meal options. The dinner option was a huge pot of home made soup. I was pretty happy I obliged because we ate the soup alllllllllll day yesterday. Here’s bowl number one.
The Bradley noodle soup was made with:
- half homemade broth, half a carton of broth
- potatoes
- carrots
- onions and garlic
- a tiny bit of leftover broccoli
- two huge handfuls of spinach
- noodles
Here is bowl number two along with a delicious grilled cheese made from mozzarella.
I was like a bottomless pit yesterday. Must have been from boot camp. I had this big bowl of peach oatmeal as my afternoon snack.
Brad’s meal requests kept coming last night. He wanted a “home cooked meal.” To Brad, that means mashed potatoes and vegetables and meat. He had pork chops and recommended I make baked tofu. I was far too lazy for that. Instead I just threw some crackers and hummus on the side.
In between all this eating, you could find me and Bradley on the couch all day. In our most comfiest pjs. My shirt says team Edward and my pants say team Canada!
Back to work for us today. Brad still has quite the cough and I still have quite the headache. I think my headache was weather related and not so much Brad’s cold, since I never got the sore throat. Either way, after work today we are going to be back in our team sick outfits and back to movie watching.
What’s your favourite outfit to wear when laying around sick on the couch?

I’m alllll about the biggest pair of sweats and t shirt I can find. Then I grab a pillow from my bed and head to the couch. It’s weird how the bed would probably be more comfortable, but the couch is my “go to” spot when not feeling well…
I hope this finds you feeling better! That peach oatmeal looks divine! Sweats, my college sweatshirt, fluffy slippers, and a wool blanket are what I like to wear when I’m on the couch and sick. And I have to have my laptop, too!
Flannel Pajamas!!! In fact, the best thing is to curl up in my flannel sheets wearing flannel pajamas, but since I live in Houston there’s only about 2 months a year that I can do that. I’m the same way as Amy, I tend to stick to the couch for some reason, even though I love my bed.
Glad your blogs back up! Im all about comfort…bring on the sweats!
OMG Is that a Team Edward t-shirt?! Dying laughing over here, I friggin love it.
I love my yoga pants, sweat pants and any tshirt that is made of soft cotton. Oh heck, I throw on a hoodie and totally frump it up.
So, I had something clever to say, but I completely forgot what it was. Its still too early for me.
That soup looks SO good! I love soup when Im sick. And when Im not. I really just love soup.
I like to wear my big giant high school sweats that I got in grade 10. Theyre disgusting but SO comfy when Im sick. Or lazy.
Team Edward? I would have pinned you for a Jacob girl. Haha….just kidding!
I have been craving a grilled cheese like cah-razy lately, and I think that photo has finally put me over the edge. Must make one soon!
I have a giant Ramones hoodie that I stole from a high school boyfriend. It’s a staple in the colder months when I’m bumming around the house. For bottoms, I’m all about the oversized flannel. It’s a hot mess. This is why I’m not allowed to live with boyfriends
My favorite couch outfit is yoga pants and a v-neck… that’s my favorite anytime outfit, actually!
Hmm. I am not so sure about that…
