I made chili last night. Easy chili. I have no shame in sharing my methods.
- green pepper
- one can of crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 can of corn
- one can of kidney beans
- 1 table spoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper chili flakes
Saute green pepper until almost soft. Add cumin to frying pan and saute for a couple more minutes. Then add the green pepper and cumin to a large pot with all the other ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.
Then take a blurry photo before eating. Okay friends let’s chat for a moment. Do you ever have deja vu? Because I had a total flashback while taking this photo. Remember when I dropped my camera in a bowl of chili? Well I do. It took everything I had not to do it again, maybe my hands were shaking and that’s why none of the ten photos I took of my meal turned out.
We ate our chili with the last of the loaf of jalapeno cheese bread.
And now, a tribute . . .
Jalapeno Cheese Bread

Ti’s better to have loved and snacked,
Then to have never have snacked at all
Always in our Hearts
Do you ever have deja vu?

I love easy chili! No shame at all. Slow cooking a big pot is always fun once it’s colder outside…and you can eat it for days on end. I have deja vu every so often – so bizarre and fun all at once.
The bread would have loved what you had to say about it if it was still with us to have heard it.
I laughed at the idea of dropping the camera in the chili. Sounsd like something I would do.
Its always sad when you finish something that was so good eh? My mom bought this ridiculous focaccia bread from Price Smart of all places. It was so good it was unfair.
UM, just now! I was craving Jalapeno corn muffins, how did you know I needed some kind of recipe?!
I have insane deja vu every once in a while and sometimes I feel a little psycho about it.
That bread sounds so delicious!! I’ve never seen jalepeno bread before.
I always have deja vu and it freaks me out. Seriously how do the exact same things feel like they’re happening? Have we been there before? So weird.
I’ve never had Jalapeno cheese bread before. I love spicy and cheesy things, so it looks so good! Sad that it’s the last of it.
hahaha…love it!
You’re too funny! I love it!
