Hello September: I Wanna Celebrate And Live My Life

Wow August was crazy.  Literally the craziest month I’ve had in a long time.  But the sun has set on August.

Yup, kiss August goodbye!

This song was our kind of theme song at the conference I was at last week and although a silly video I find it quite catchy.  I’ve decided to make it my September anthem.

Just because the summer is over, doesn’t mean you have to stop living.  September always seems to be the time when things get serious.  Probably because many people are going back to school.  (FYI – I am not going back to school this semester, and I’m okay with it.)

I think September introduces the most wonderful time of the year.  Lots of awesome stuff happens over the next few months:

  • my birthday
  • Thanksgiving
  • Halloween
  • Christmas
  • pumpkin spice latte

I have big plans for September.  First of all I really want to concentrate on my writing.  In August I put up a lot of “this is what happened” posts and few “this is how I’m feeling” posts.  I also have to get reacquainted with my Examiner.com page.

September is also going to be all about connections.  I have met some wonderful blog friends over the summer and want to ensure I make time for cool outings with them.  Plus I have a lot of old friends that I need to catch up with.  Speaking of connections, I have a lot of business blog work to do or get started.  First off is a boot camp program and a giveaway which you will definitely want to be a part of.

Just thinking of all of my September plans truly excite me.  I’ve been working on agenda for this month with a great big smile.

How are you going to light up September?

I’m so excited about September! We’ll be in Austin the next 2 weekends for a wedding and another shower…then off to Europe to get married! September is full of traveling and adventures. I’m pretty excited about October, too! <3 fall.

You are giving me the warm and fuzzies. I am excited for you and Sept! Love the seasonal change and cannot wait for the holidays.

I am going to kick a** in my 1/2 marathon this month, I have to start telling myself now, lol.

  3. I’m a little down on summer ending but this post is making me look forward to what’s in store for the fall :) I think the thing I’m most excited to do is get back into running because I’ve been slacking off big time lately.

  4. I am excited for September for a number of reasons. First, because although school is overwhelming, I actually enjoy it and I graduate in December. Second, because my boyfriend, Jeff, and I are celebrating our five year anniversary on the 16th. Third, because I LOVE fall and everything that goes with it!

  5. I’m gonna light it up by having a baby! Due any minute now.

  6. I am excited to go hiking with my dogs in September… less hot so we will all be able to go further and longer!

  7. Yeah to blog friends ;-) .

I’m so uber excited to start school with Sarah from Long Legs Healthy Life. Two soon to be new Nutritionists in the Hizzous! lol.

  8. You’re so right that just because the summer is nearing an end it doesn’t mean the fun’s over. Why should the carefree days end on August 31st?
Looking forward to the upcoming posts:)

I like your positive outlook on September. The month is always thought of as “back to the grind” but it doesn’t have to be like that! I’ve been over all trying to add more fun & happiness in my life so I like this post : )

Spin class? Just throwing that out there ;)

I am SO looking forward to the fall. Mostly just to turning my oven on and wearing sweaters again, but there will be some other great stuff in there too.

I like September. First on my list of things to do is remind my landlords to fix my heat. I went through last winter without it working, and I’m not making that mistake again!

  12. Scott says:

I agree, looking forward to dominating the month of September.

  13. September is VACATION! I get to enjoy a conference with friends (for work) and then go spend time with mom and friends. I love the idea!
