I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Work has been seriously hitting me hard lately.  I don’t know why but all of these irregular things keep popping up.  Plus it was the end of my fiscal month this weekend.

Saturday night I got to blow off some steam by going to Simon’s birthday party.

Michelle and Simon have the most amazing backyard.  At the back is a huge vegetable garden and near the house is a lovely patio.

I didn’t remember to pull my camera out until dusk so it made for a little grainy photos . . . and then I had to turn the flash on.

It was a very fun time!

If you just want to note above that Brad had a sausage and a piece of coffee cake.  And the man says that I love to eat.

Then Claire broke a glass and luckily Simon had a flash light head band so that he could supervise and all the broken glass got cleaned up.  It was actually quite dark which you can’t tell since I had the flash on.

I love early evening parties.  Because then I can attend and still go home and go to bed to go to work the next morning!

Which I did.

And luckily for me Brad was feeling very sweet because he made dinner last night.  Which I appreciated more than I could possibly express.  He was pretty proud of himself for putting together this mixed salad complete with rectangle shaped carrot sticks.

He also bought whole wheat buns for burgers.  Yes there is really a veggie burger in that huge bun.

A very needed and relaxing evening.

What did you do this weekend?
